To the surprise of many, the “America’s Next Top Model” creator took to Instagram Wednesday (January 27) to announce she and her boyfriend Erik Asla welcomed their first child, a baby boy the couple named York Banks Asla via surrogacy.
The 42 year old business woman has publicly spoken of the difficulty she’s had trying to conceive, which makes the announcement of her new child, even more special.
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here,” she shared “He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin.”

Banks continued by thanking her surrogate and calling her an “angel”
“As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”
